Today's Pain, Tomorrow Struggle !

In today's society there are many circumstances that people go through or are facing. These things could be abuse, poverty, health issues or just inner issues or many other things. As a young teenager growing in Atlanta, I see these things almost everyday and it hurts me inside. It even get to the point where I cry because so many people not only in Atlanta, but around the world goes through things. The pain that a person may experience today may become that person life struggle tomorrow. For instances a person's house may have been foreclosed and it has made then become homeless for a while. Then the person may become unemployed because they have no where to go or prepare for work. Thus this leads to homelessness in America and around the world.

I feel that the government and/or friends and family members of these people should step in and help because these situations are becoming a major problem. So in the long you should never judge anyone on their situations, because things in life happens or even one day that may be you. The pain you feel today, may be your struggle tomorrow.

Brag Project

from blog globe university
This post is going to be discussing my Brag Project; which is a future community service project. The title of this organization will be called "Save Our Youth". The program will be centred around middle school students. This is because when a student reaches middle school they start to found themselves emotionally and socially. The program will be centred around helping a teenager that are in the middle school stages become more comfortable with themselves. This is because in middle school you can get exposed to many things and fall with in the wrong crowd. So there will be a center in a community where middle school teens can go and get advice about things that are going in at home, school, and their community. This program can also help students in school that are struggling in class or just need that extra help.

A Natural Born Leader

from terrifics
Control is not leadership; management is not leadership; leadership is leadership. If you seek to lead, invest at least 50% of your time in leading yourself—your own purpose, ethics, principles, motivation, conduct. Invest at least 20% leading those with authority over you and 15% leading your peers."

— Dee Hock
This quote is what being a leader means to me. Leadership is basically not that you have all the control and makes the rules, but it is about listening to others around and making decisions that is right for the whole group. I have taken on many leadership roles such as
  1. Junior Reserved Officer Training Corps (JROTC)- In this class I was an Officer a Cadet First Lieutenant and my job was to make sure that the enlisted cadets were out in formation ready to execute the commands. I was also responsible for making sure that their uniforms were in check and that they were dressed appropriately for the class.
2.Jump Start Program- This was a program held at my high school for the upcoming freshmen. With this I was responsible for taking them on a tour around the school showing them the different parts, talking to them about the activities that they can join when they enter high school, and just to help them out with classwork.

3.Mr. 11th Grade- This is when I won the tittle as Mr. 11th grade for my small school.

    Community Service

Community service to me is not just about earning hours, but it is about helping others overcome obstacles or just putting a smile upon some one face. In the years I have took part in many community service projects such as
      1. The Atrium- In which is an senior citizens home, and I would go every Tuesday and work with senior citizens. I would help them with arts and crafts projects and just sit down and talk to them about life and the things that goes on it.

      2. HOSA Blood Drive- This was a blood drive that my school held and I was the person who would go around and look for the people to give blood and make sure that they were taken care of properly after giving blood.

      3. JROTC Empty Stocking Funds- This was when I went on a field trip to a warehouse that was filled with toys and people who could not afford the toys. I would be in the back gathering the toys that was on the list and then go and give them to the family who needed them.

      4. Jump Start Program- This was an summer program that was held at my high school for the upcoming freshmen and I was responsible for making sure that the students knew their way around the school and get them ready for high school.

      5. Yearbook- In yearbook I was responsible for 3 spreads and had to make sure they was done properly and correctly so it can go into the yearbook.

      6. Stone Mountain Clean Up- This is when I went to Stone Mountain Park with a program called UpwardBound and I help clean up parts of the park that had plants that needed to be removed to a different locations. So i would go pick up trees and pull plants that looked different and remove them.
